Bio

 

Since her formal debut in march 2011 (aged 16)  Alicja Pyrdoł started international career as soloist, chamber musician and recording artist.​

She completed her bachelor's degree in Finland (Kokkola) where she studied with Reijo Tunkkari, being simultaneously mentored by Dmitri Vasiliev in Moscow. She continued her studies at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg at the class of Prof. Anna-Kreetta Gribajcevic and at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste at the class of Prof. Lilli Maijala and Prof. Diemut Poppen. She took part in master classes with Thomas Riebl, Hartmut Rohde, William Coleman among others

 

Alicja Pyrdol is a winner of international competitions in Poland, Finland, Spain and Italy and appears regularly at various music festivals as a soloist and chamber musician in Finland, Poland, Germany, Russia, France, Netherlands, Estonia, Spain, Austria, UK and Sweden.
She has been teaching and giving masterclasses in Finland, Poland, Germany, Switzerland and Spain and was a scholar of Pro Bono PL, Lions Club, Polish Children Found, Young Talents Found of First Lady and President Kwasniewscy's of Poland, Vera Froloff Rahasto.

Alicja is actively performing modern music. In  2011 opened International Conference To Mark The Quadricentennial of The Birth of Johannes Hevelius ’Hevelius 2011’ in Gdansk Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences and played premieres of pieces composed by most prominent composers such as Cecilia Damström, Kalevi Aho and many others. In 2016 she featured at the 'Viulun sielu' movie, made for the Finnish television.
